The Michael James Jackson Foundation for Brewing & Distilling
Funding technical education and career advancement for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in the brewing and distilling industries.
WHAT WE DO
The Michael James Jackson Foundation is a grant-making organization dedicated to supporting Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in the brewing and distilling trades. Through its scholarship awards, the foundation provides opportunities for individuals at the start of their careers as well as those pursuing advanced education and skill development.
OUR IMPACT
Since its establishment in 2020, the MJF has achieved remarkable success—sending more people of color to the nation's top brewing schools than the previous 150 years combined.
And this is only the beginning. We are breaking down barriers, opening doors, and paving the way for a more inclusive and diverse future in brewing.

SUPPORT THE MJF
The MJF relies on the support of everyone to achieve its mission.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference.
We deeply appreciate donations from individuals who can make a one-time gift. Good news:
it’s tax-deductible!
We also value and rely on generous commitments from companies seeking to make a lasting impact in brewing, distilling, and beyond.
